I love how you’ve highlighted the versatility and history of sweatpants, transforming them from a symbol of defeat to a fashion staple. A bit of creativity and sweatpants can be both comfy and stylish. Thanks for sharing your journey and these great styling ideas! 💚 I loved reading your article.

I admit that I am still slow to get on the sweatpants bandwagon, but what I have started adopting in recent years is cotton pull on pants a la Donni. I love the straight or even wide leg silhouette and a lighter fabric than a typical sweatpant.

PS- would you share the details of the bag you’re wearing around your waist in look 1 of #7?

Kelly! Sorry for the late response. It is a very very very old attachment to a tote bag my mom got from amazon (!?!) but it is the most amazing canvas material. I tried to find it again and I haven’t been able to locate the exact brand. Will report back if I do! I want to get another one to create a double pocket kind of situation akin to that dries pocket belt from 2023

These looks are inspirational! Side note - I just watched the Elton John documentary on Disney+. He wears consistently wears track suits (aka sweat pants) all the way through the 70s to the present day. And whilst a Gucci set is never going to be my fave look, I admire his consistent style and devotion to comfort.

You’re an amazing writer—and so stylish! I savoured every word and every outfit. ❤️

You also found great sweatpants with a POV! Tibi really does an amazing job here.

So appreciate your creativity! I mean I hate sweatpants and am so over “blazers” and you made me want to wear sweatpants + a blazer…! (And the Corte inglés references always make me nostalgic ♥️

how are people finding the sizing of the newer iterations of the calder sweatpants (ie what size pant do you usually wear, and what size works for you in calder)? i think sizing has changed in recent years and have been waiting to pull the trigger... thanks!

I’m not sure! All my calders are size M and they are older. I didn’t know there was a new iteration

do yours tend to overly relax at the waist and slide down with wear? this is what happened with my older version!

Ok, love! Especially look 9. I've always avoided sweatpants but I really like your high/low approach. This has given me lots of inspiration...

Whenever I wear sweatpants of knit pants the is saggy by mid day. Does this not happen to anyone else? Is this just something to role with ?

Love all your outfits! I don't wear sweatpants outsidd the house that often, but you inspire me! Funny detail, it was Coco Chanel who introduced jersey and sport elements in fashion.

Wow, Laura, you really have a great eye for working your sweatpants as Fashion! 💕 I love your Tory Burch bag!

Thank you, Sheila 💚. The Tory Burch bag is a very special piece—I got it in NYC for a wedding I attended in Cartagena 2 months after my first daughter was born. It was such a weird experience to go shopping postpartum, realizing the seismic change in the Bloomingdale’s dressing room. I remember I went with my husband, and he was the one who spotted the bag and said, “This looks like you.” 🥰 And it still is to this day.

You are the first person I've really liked the calders on. How tall are you and is M your reg size? I usually see people wearing them more fitted but I like them baggy!

Thank you Brittany! I’m 5.1 and I wear Mediums. They are a little big but i love them oversized. My hip measurement is 39 inches. They do have a short and a regular—the ones I have bought full price are short but the ones on TRR I’m not sure🫠 I tend to fold them over when I want more ankle showing or when they stretch after a few wears and start feeling lose.
