Thanks for this - I had seen Francesca post that image, and then forgotten about it and now I am reminded again: I crocheted a capelet a few years ago and maybe now is a good time to revive it!.

The capelet captures what I love about fashion; it's not practical, it holds on function but- dang it- it's beautiful and makes me FEEL something about an outfit. It's the extra shirt tied around the waist, the sweater over the shoulders, etc.
