This is such a refreshing read, especially after i just read a GQ article declaring chore coats over because everyone has worn it to death (I can't tell if the writer meant to be funny but he really just sounded like someone who's too worried about what other people think). Articles like that are why some people feel like engaging with clothing and style is a shallow pursuit.

I remember a girl at school saying how she hated seeing black and red together (knowing I wore it a lot then) and even now If i wear red lipstick with a black outfit I can remember how baby me felt back then. Luckily i wear it anyway because i love it, but it’s interesting how the parts of us don’t forget.
Yup! It’s all personal as style is how we feel in the things we put on ourselves- and that’s different for all! Some would feel too basic w the tote if they are surrounded by the tote, and so not good, and some, like you will feel amazing w it bc you love it so. The whys are so important and each person gets to decide the whys of their personal style. Love this post thank you.
