Beautifully encapsulating how true style is personal, as much as "personal style" is commodified.

Pure, dreamy delight. I love the beautiful and subtle way you weave in thoughtful ideas on class. Alongside the inspiring fashion we love.

Thank you, R. Class is very nuanced, and I think about it often through the lens of fashion. I feel like class has always existed and always will. I am hyper-aware of when class is used to make others feel less than—something that was very palpable in Colombia. It happens with the higher class making the lower class feel inferior, but it also happens the other way around, with the lower class immediately labeling the higher class as oppressors. I do not believe in class wars or in trying to homogenize us all. I do, however, believe in being aware of class and identifying instances where it is used to oppress, without resorting to blanket statements.

Maybe I should write about this. And thank you for reading between the lines—you are a very active reader.

My granddaughter got an infected spider bite from one we think she sat on in a movie theater in DC. She says she's never going back to DC. Watch it carefully. Not nice for her when it got worse and had to be drained. Horrors!
